POLICIES
From time to time it is necessary for a congregation to prepare policies that govern its community life. Some of these are important enough to make available widely for the benefit of members and the larger community.
Policy on Sexual Harassment and Misconduct
This policy was adopted by the Church Council on February 8, 2005, at the prompting of our church insurance underwriter. It defines and outlines procedures regarding any potential sexual misconduct on the part of staff, volunteers or members.
"It is the policy of Hollywood Lutheran Church that sexual harassment and misconduct will not be tolerated. Any complaint of sexual harassment and misconduct will be dealt with quickly and confidentially. Our policy applies to clergy, lay employees and volunteers. The intent of this policy is to make certain that responses to any allegation of sexual misconduct be just and compassionate for all involved, and that all parties be heard."

Policy on Conflicts of Interest and Disclosure of Certain Interests
Any conflict of interest can undermine the integrity not only of individuals but of the entire church. This policy was adopted by the Church Council on September 25, 2007. This document primarily affects directors, officers, and employees, but can be reveiwed by any member who has concerns about conflicts or the appearance of conflicts of interest.
